- Personal computer with a minimum 500 MHz Pentium-class microprocessor (1 GHz recommended)
- 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended) ,
- Windows 2000/XP
- DVD reader and preferably a DVD writer
- About 5 GB of temporary available hard-drive space is necessary to convert DVDs.

Copy DVD to MPEG-1: |
| Step1: Download DVD to MPEG. |
Download DVD-Cloner V trial version online for free, then install it. Then order DVD-Cloner V full version online. You will receive the register code in your email. Register it. Then run DVD-Cloner. Click the blue button to open DVD to MPEG page, click download button to open download page, then click download link to download it. Install DVD to MPEG. |
| Step2: Run DVD to MPEG. |
| Click DVD to MPEG icon to run it. Or run it from DVD-Cloner. Click blue button to run DVD to MPEG, and exit from DVD-Cloner. |

| Step3: Source and target. |
| Insert your DVD disc into DVD drive, and choose source in source drop down bar. Or click source folder to choose a IFO file for source file. |

| Click target folder to choose a folder for MPEG1 file saving. |

| Step4: Settings. |
Click options button to set DVD to MPEG. Choose MPEG-1 in MPEG item. |

| You also can set the output file region code for NTSC or PAL. Choose TV screen size for small , medium and full. Adjust MPEG video size in width and height. You also can split target MPEG file to several chapters. |
| Change speed and CPU type in "Advanced". It also supports chapter copy, you can choose several chapter in IFO list for source file. |

| If you want to shutdown computer when finished, just enable the related box. Then click "OK" to save. |
| Step5: Click start button to copy DVD to MPEG1. |
