What's VCD: |
VCD stands for Video Compact Disc. It is developed by Sony, Philips, Matsushita, and JVC in 1993. VCD is a CD with movie picture and sound. VCD use compression standard MPEG to store video and audio data. VCD had menus, chapters like DVD.

Copy DVD movie to VCD: |
| Step1: Download DVD to SVCD. |
Run DVD-Cloner, then click the green button  on DVD-Cloner to open the introduce page of DVD to SVCD. Then click the download button to open download page, and click download link to download DVD to SVCD. Install DVD to SVCD. Then click the green button, you can run DVD to SVCD, DVD-Cloner will exit automatically. |

| Step2: Source and target. |
| Insert your DVD disc to DVD drive, then click source drop down bar to choose it for your source. Or click the source folder to select a IFO file for your source. |

| You can insert a blank VCD disc to driver, and select it for target in target drop down bar. Or click the target folder button to choose a folder to save output VCD file. The source and target path information will list at information box at the bottom. |
| Step3: Settings. |
Click options button  to open setup window. Then choose VCD at "Mpeg" option. |

- Format: You can add region code to your output file at here, NTSC or PAL.
- Screen: Set the video player screen size for small, medium or full.
- Pieces: Split your output VCD video to several chapters, you can define the size of chapter.
- Burn Driver: Choose your burn driver at here, you also can use the default settings.
- Advanced: Click this button, you can open a window, and change the copy speed, CPU type, video bitrate and audio bitrate at here.
- Chapter: You can choose some chapter for your source at Chapter window. You also can change the caption and ausio of chapters. You can preview the chapter at preview area.
