- DVD driver and DVD burner on your computer
- DVD-9 movie disc
- DVD-5 blank DVD disc
- 10GB free hard disc space for DVD-9
- Pentium-II 450 MHz or faster processor
- 64MB of RAM
- Windows Vista,XP, 2000

Split DVD9 to two DVD5 with menu: |
| Step1: Double click DVD-Cloner icon to run it. |
| Step2: Insert a DVD9 disc to DVD drive. |
| Step3: Make sure source and target path. |
| Click the source drop-down bar to select the source DVD9 disc for source. Then click the folder on the right of target drop-down bar to select a folder to save the target file. Then information of source and target will appear under the target drop-down bar. |

| Step4: Settings. |
Click "Advance setting" button to open the setting window. Then enable the item "Keep menu when movie split to two D5 disc". Then click "OK" to save the setting. |

You also can set more options:
You can set read IO, it has three items, ASPI/SPTI/LIBC.
If your DVD disc has some bad sector, you can define the value of bad sector skipping. The number is between 0 and 1000. The bigger the value is, the higher the reading speed will be.
You also can enable smart analyser, it will give you the best quality of your copying.
If your DVD movie has region protection, you also can remove the limitation.
DVD-Cloner supports high-definition DVD backup. You can backup Blu-ray disc and HD DVD with third helper.

| Step5: Click start button to split DVD9 with menu. |
| Then the reading window will appear, DVD-Cloner will read data in 30 to 40 minutes. Then the DVD drive will eject automatically. Insert a blank DVD5 disc, DVD-Cloner will burn data to DVD5, it will eject when burning finished. Then insert another DVD5 disc to burn the rest data. When it finished, a prompt window will pop up. |
